We're two people listening to music we didn't have to like. One of us is in New York, one of us is in Toronto, and we'd been arguing about records in the same threads for years before this. At some point the arguing needed somewhere to live.

Nothing here is ranked. If a record does one specific thing worth your attention, we write about that thing and link the record so you can hear it yourself. If a big name puts out something fine, it stays out. Fine doesn't need us.

First names only, no photos. You'll learn to tell us apart by how we write. That's enough.

Not everything needs to be trending. Some weeks the crate is full. Some weeks it's one record and a long walk. Both are the blog.
